Our detergent is formulated with over 99% natural ingredients. It contains:
- A biodegradable plant-based surfactant, derived from coconut oil, with stain-removing and foaming properties.
- Natural, biodegradable Marseille soap, made from saponified olive oil and known for its stain-removing properties.
- Bicarbonate of soda and washing soda crystals, mineral compounds that provide softness, cleansing and stain removal.
- Xanthan gum, derived from corn sugar, for a thick, smooth and pleasant texture.
- A delicate gentian fragrance with herbaceous notes.
This naturally derived detergent is free from endocrine disruptors and meets biodegradability criteria. Its allergen-free fragrance makes it suitable for pregnant women, young children and people with sensitive or atopic skin.
The Strengths of Our Eco-Responsible Detergent

They also contain optical brighteners and poorly biodegradable preservatives, which disrupt the metabolism and reproduction of fish and amphibians.

1. Can I use fabric softener with my natural detergent?
Danika detergent leaves laundry clean, fresh and naturally pleasant to the touch. Its gentle formula suits even the most delicate fibres, such as silk or cashmere.
If you'd still like to add a softener, we recommend using white vinegar. Made from the fermentation of beet or corn sugar, this simple product softens fibres while taking care of your washing machine.
2. Is the Gentian-scented detergent suitable for sensitive skin?
Like the Cotton Flower detergent and the baby detergent, this detergent is certified hypoallergenic and formulated to minimise the risk of allergies and irritation. Danika's dilutable detergent is suitable for reactive skin (eczema, redness, itching) as well as very delicate skin, such as that of babies or people undergoing treatment, particularly chemotherapy.
To guarantee this tolerance, we've left out essential oils. Although they're of natural origin, they contain allergens that don't meet the requirements of a detergent truly suited to reactive skin.
3. Is the detergent suitable for all types of fabrics and colours?
Danika detergent is suitable for all your laundry: whites and colours, everyday fabrics, wool and delicate materials. Its gentle formula cleans effectively without damaging fibres and preserves the brightness and fit of colours.
