Who are we?
Nestled in the heart of Provence, in Avignon, Danika is a small French business that puts closeness, authenticity and craftsmanship at the heart of what we do. Our team creates simple, safe and effective products, favouring local, plant-based ingredients. Committed to a plastic-free everyday life, Danika was born from a firm resolve: to eliminate synthetic packaging and rethink our routines.
To achieve this, we only offer solid or soluble products, to be made up at home: concentrated, water-free formulas, delivered in simple, responsible packaging. Why banish water from our products? Because without water, plastic no longer has a reason to exist. Thanks to this approach, our products are lighter. They can be transported without unnecessary journeys, which reduces our carbon footprint. And since water is available from the tap in every home, they also make more sense.

Why did we choose the name Danika?
Danika takes its name from a freshwater insect, Ephemera danica, better known as the mayfly. The larva of this mayfly only lives in clean, well-oxygenated rivers, a sign of good water quality. Highly sensitive to chemical and organic pollution, it disappears wherever waterways are degraded. Choosing the name Danika is, for us, a powerful symbol: a reminder that the impact of our products never stops at the sink. This choice embodies our commitment to creating healthy solutions, designed to protect life and biodiversity.
Naturally committed
At Danika, we believe that health, safety and ecology are inseparable. To honour this commitment, we design hypoallergenic products suited to sensitive and atopic skin, while excluding any endocrine disruptor, controversial or irritating substance, microplastic or polluting ingredient. Instead, we favour plant-based, biodegradable and environmentally friendly materials. This philosophy carries through to the design of our products and their packaging:
- We favour powder formulas to limit the transport of water.
- We choose reusable glass containers and eco-designed, compostable packaging.
- We keep track of our carbon footprint at every stage, from manufacturing to delivery.
