By getting back to basics, we realise that nature already gives us everything we need…
Our values
Most products found on supermarket shelves today are packed with ingredients whose names and effects are a mystery to most of us. At Danika, we've chosen to keep things simple. We make our products in our small workshop in provincial France, with people we know by their first names. We like working close by, following every step of production, talking things through, understanding and adjusting as we go. It also keeps local hands and workshops in business. Danika is a small team that takes the time to do things properly, without rushing or cutting corners. We're not trying to reinvent the wheel. We move forward steadily, improving our formulas when it's useful and listening to the people who use them.
In short, at Danika we don't claim to be changing the world, but we do want to take care of it, with respectful products that do their job with no compromises.
Our Choices
We could have done things differently. We could have built a start-up, raised funding, moved fast — too fast — and made a lot of noise. Been everywhere at once, before we were even ready. We could have, but we chose to do things properly instead: a more measured, considered approach, breaking away from the race for hyper-growth.
We are not a start-up
Danika is a French artisan business. A small, family-run outfit based in Avignon, committed to the planet and to people. Our ambition is simple: to build a durable, independent and coherent brand. To move at our own pace, free from outside pressure or a plan to sell up. Because of this, you won't find Danika in supermarkets. That's not a shortcoming, it's a choice. We reject the volume-driven model and will never sacrifice quality for profitability. We stand for ethical marketing, without bending our ideas to fit standardised sales pitches. We leave that model to those who put speed and margins ahead of meaning.
Instead, we invest in quality and sincerity.
At Danika, we reject watered-down formulas and disposable packaging.
➔ Selling 90% water no longer makes sense today: quality matters more than the price per litre.
➔ Single-use plastic is no longer an option: a clean product shouldn't cause harm elsewhere.
Our water-soluble or solid formulas start from a simple observation: you already have water at home. So why transport it, package it or ship it?
Less water moved means less CO₂ emitted.
We're also decarbonising our production by favouring French manufacturing. In other words, we want to support the local economy, and we refuse to sell more if it means selling worse. Our ambition? To create products we're proud of, that you'll want to make part of your routine.

Health and safety
Our formulas are designed to be kind to all skin types, even the most sensitive. We exclude endocrine disruptors, controversial substances, microplastics and any ingredient whose impact remains unclear. Every product is tested and optimised to offer maximum safety, without sacrificing gentleness, effectiveness or the pleasure of use.

Biodiversity and eco-design
Our products take their impact on living things into account: their formulas are mostly biodegradable and their ecotoxicity is kept under control, so they break down quickly without harming ecosystems. We also monitor our carbon footprint at every stage, from formulation to manufacturing, as well as packaging and transport.
Natural and local
Far from chasing trends, we select plant- or mineral-based ingredients, chosen for their genuine effectiveness. Wherever possible, our raw materials come from French producers who share our values: quality, transparency and respect for living things. Everything, from formulation to shipping, is done in France, to support local know-how and guarantee full traceability.

Responsible consumption
Adopting sustainable habits shouldn't be complicated or reserved for the few. Our products fit easily into your everyday life and take care of your home and your health. Quite simply, they reduce pollution in your household and limit your impact on the environment.
