Composition

OEKO-TEX certified cotton fabric

- Scouring side: cotton + jute blend
- Soft side: cotton
- Padding: plant-based sponge
- Stitching: double cotton-thread stitching

Directions for Use

Versatile and gentle, the Danika durable sponge is suited to all everyday surfaces: stainless steel, glass, resin, wood, porcelain, ceramic, polished concrete, glazed tile…

- After each use, simply rinse it with clean water.
- Wring it out thoroughly.
- Leave it to air-dry, ideally hung up.

The scouring, absorbent sponge can be washed in the washing machine or dishwasher up to 40°C.
Careful! One sponge = one use. Every area of the home deserves its own sponge.
Limit the use of chemical products to preserve the natural fibres and extend your sponge's lifespan.

If the sponge is greasy or very grimy, give it a little soak:

- Prepare a bowl of hot water
- Add a little Danika washing-up liquid
- Leave to soak for 30 minutes
- Rinse, wring out thoroughly, then leave to air-dry

Empreinte environnementale

Unlike synthetic sponges, the Danika washable sponge for the kitchen and bathroom lasts around 1 year, depending on use.
When it starts to show signs of wear, don't throw it away! Give it a second life.
It's perfect for cleaning garden furniture, bikes and scooters, or degreasing the barbecue grill…

And if it's truly at the end of its life, you have two options:

- Remove the Danika label (not compostable), then pop the sponge in your compost bin.
- Drop it in a textile recycling bin so it can be recycled.

A Sponge Made from OEKO-TEX Certified Cotton

Did you know? Regular sponges are typically made from polyurethane for the absorbent part, and from polyester or nylon fibres for the abrasive side. These materials are neither biodegradable nor recyclable, and shed microplastics with every use.

With this washable sponge made from OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified cotton, you're choosing a healthy, durable alternative. This certification guarantees that the cotton has been tested and contains no substances harmful to skin or health: no pesticides, no heavy metals, no formaldehyde and no allergenic dyes above permitted limits.

The OEKO-TEX label also ensures the fabric is safe for the whole family, from babies to adults.

Please note: OEKO-TEX is not an organic label. Unlike organic cotton (GOTS), which guarantees pesticide-free farming and social criteria, OEKO-TEX focuses on health safety, for cotton that's clean and safe for the skin.

A Sponge with Multiple Benefits

Easily biodegradable, Danika washable sponges are made from cotton and jute.
Gentle yet effective for cleaning, they wash all surfaces without scratching them.
Economical: a single sponge can replace up to 52 disposable sponges over a year.
Machine or dishwasher washable, they're more hygienic than regular sponges.
Hand-sewn and made in France, they support the national economy.

You can use our washable sponges with our washing-up liquid to mix up, or our multi-purpose product to dilute.
