Our plant-based ingredients, such as surfactants, are 98–100% biodegradable within 28 days.

For mineral-based ingredients, the term “biodegradability” doesn't apply. For example, baking soda and washing soda, while natural, cannot be considered biodegradable.

At Danika, it was essential that our products remain safe for the environment. That's why we choose ingredients that are easily treated by wastewater treatment plants.

A natural ingredient comes directly from nature, either raw “as is” (e.g. water, a fruit), or mechanically processed from a raw ingredient (e.g. pressed lemon juice or essential oil).

An ingredient of natural origin was originally natural but has undergone a chemical transformation, altering some of its molecules.

Our dilute products therefore contain both natural ingredients and ingredients of natural origin, such as baking soda, which is a compound derived from salt, chalk and CO₂.

The term “bioplastic” can refer to:

• plastics made from plant-based resources (corn, wheat, sugar cane, etc.)
• biodegradable plastics, capable of breaking down thanks to micro-organisms

At Danika, we don't consider bioplastic to be a satisfactory solution, for several reasons:

• certain crops, such as sugar cane, drive deforestation and intensive monoculture;
• others, such as corn, use a lot of water in summer, when groundwater and rivers are already under strain;
• bioplastics disrupt the recycling of conventional plastics, as they aren't always compatible with existing recycling streams;
• their production uses food resources that could otherwise feed people;
• biodegradable plastics often take more than six months to break down, and sometimes only under specific industrial conditions.

For all these reasons, we prefer to avoid bioplastics and work on solutions that are genuinely sustainable and suited to our environment.

To minimise our CO₂ emissions as much as possible, we work with Colissimo, which supports carbon neutrality.

It took us a year and a half of research and development before we launched our products. Effectiveness was our priority: we chose the best French laboratories and suppliers, tested numerous formulations and scents, and took the time to check everything thoroughly.

Our products come from our own formulations, which we control entirely. This is rare in the eco-friendly household products market.

To make sure of their performance, we had our products tested by an independent laboratory. The results are clear: our products are just as effective as conventional references, and some even proved superior.

You can of course change or cancel your order at any time:

For a one-off order, simply log in to your account. Once you've entered your email address and password, you'll be able to access all your orders (current and past). Click on the order number you're interested in (the most recent one, if you want to make a change) and you'll be able to edit or cancel it.

For a recurring order (every 2 months), simply log in to your account. You'll then be able to access your scheduled deliveries (current and past). Click on “Upcoming orders” and you can then click “Skip this order” if you don't want a delivery, for example while you're on holiday, or “Order now” if you'd like to bring the delivery forward.
